Autonomous Platforms at the VAR Lab explores how robotics, AI, sensors, and mobile computing can work together to create systems that move, respond, and operate with greater independence. These projects include robot-mounted capture systems, mobile display platforms, local AI assistants, and interactive robotic guides. By developing custom hardware and software for platforms like the Unitree Go2, the lab investigates how autonomous systems can support education, research, digital preservation, public engagement, and immersive technology demonstrations.
