VAR Lab’s custom robotics work focuses on designing and fabricating specialized mounts, attachments, and systems that expand what robotic platforms can do. By combining 3D scanning, CAD design, 3D printing, robotics, and immersive capture tools, the lab creates custom solutions for research, documentation, mobile demonstrations, and interactive technology showcases. These projects allow robots like the Unitree Go2 to support advanced equipment, including stabilized 3D cameras, portable monitor displays, and autonomous capture systems.
