World Record Attempt:
Longest Time Spent Viewing Content In Virtual Reality
VAR Lab Director Dr. Christopher Shelton and Immersive Administrator Lauren Cass will attempt to break the current world record (50 hours) for the longest continuous time spent in a VR headset watching content, aiming for 55 hours.
The contestants must remain in a headset watching movies, shows, and videos.
This event will occur at the VAR Lab on the Penn State Behrend campus on April 5th – 7th and will be featured during Behrend’s Open House.

Where and When?
The event will take place from April 5-7, 2025, with VAR Lab open to the community on Saturday, April 5 and Sunday, April 6 from 9 am – 5 pm. Visitors are invited to explore the lab, discover more about our innovative projects, and participate in a history-making moment.
