VAR Studios recently hosted an Augmented Reality (AR) workshop in collaboration with Teaching and Learning with Technology from the University Park campus at the Penn State Behrend campus. TLT provided iPads for participants to create augmented reality assets using Adobe Aero, a leading AR creation platform. The workshop was open to Behrend students and faculty who were encouraged to engage with new technologies and learn about available resources. 

The workshop was held on November 30th from 12 to 2. Dan Getz from TLT gave a one-hour presentation on the workflow for creating AR assets, followed by an open hour for participants to experiment and seek consultation. The event took place in the VAR Edu Open Lab located in Fasenmyer 200, which offered ample space for participants to create large assets and view them through the iPads.
