PSU VAR LAB

Our academic immersive experiences unit. We collaborate with faculty, students, and partners to advance immersive technology in education (e.g., see our XR Catalog below). We also created one of the nation’s first labs to facilitate immersive experiences at a classroom scale.

Although VAR Edu no longer runs the XR Classroom, it remains available for courses at Behrend.

With the XR infrastructure in place, VAR Edu is useful as a tool for schools and groups to in the Erie region to use.

Open Lab for On-campus
Engagement

Collaborating with on-campus groups to host immersive events and tournaments, providing resources for students to explore programs of interest.

XR Catalog

The XR Catalog is an ongoing, collaborative creation between Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT) and the Virtual and Augmented Reality (VAR) Lab at Penn State Behrend.

Additional contributions are being made in partnership with VARIA Lab at Penn State Behrend.

This resource is free to browse for the general public and both TLT and VAR Lab welcome others within the University community who want to partner to further develop the Catalog.
